March is Women's Celebration Month, dedicated to honoring women's contributions and resilience throughout history. It raises awareness about gender equality, advocates for women's rights, and highlights progress and challenges.
As part of CBK’s ongoing commitment to women's empowerment and gender equality, CBK Hardware, Inc. has chosen Project Pearls, Inc. as its partner organization for the month of March. Project PEARLS, a non-stock, non-profit, and non-partisan organization that empowers women in the community provides resources to reach their full potential and establish sustainable living.
CBK hopes to make a significant effect through our relationship with Project Pearls, Inc. by offering support and resources to enhance women's and girls' rights and opportunities. The two organizations worked to effect good change and develop a more inclusive and equitable society for all. This project is consistent with its commitment to supporting initiatives that help the achievement of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those connected to gender equality.
In continuing with CBK's objective, the accounting department volunteered their time to help with the feeding program led by Project Pearls in Naic, Cavite, and the group of women who made a nutritious breakfast for the community over 250 children and mothers. There was also a brainteaser exercise that included arts and crafts effort. The activity imparted knowledge to the kids with enthusiasm and affection. Subsequently, CBK handed over the Aco Orbit Fan product donation, which will be used in the learning hub.
This experience headed by these amazing women in the community only shows how women can lead and possess unique strengths, perspectives, and experiences that enrich families, communities, and societies worldwide.
