Stemming from the company’s core values – Passion, Discipline, Kindness, Honesty, and Innovation, CBKians heed the #CalltoBeKind as they shared the gift of giving by spending time with the elderly and children and sharing the blessings with the less fortunate.
The Projects, Industrial, and Mayapa departments visited an elderly home in Marikina City. The team was welcomed with warm smiles from the senior citizens of the Milagros Elderly Home Care Service, a facility that gives professional support to elders with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
Meanwhile, the Warehouse and Autorep departments’ “Adopt-A-Toilet" program allowed them to repaint the comfort room of the God is Good Southern Baptist Church in Imus, Cavite. The church in Medicion is a community-based organization that provides services such as academic scholarships, feeding programs, grocery items, financial support, and other services in the deprived communities in Cavite. They also donated cleaning essentials and toys to the parents and children of the church.
In celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities last December 3, 2022, the Warehouse and Master Data Planning and Control departments visited the children of Cottolengo Filipino Inc., a home for deprived, abandoned, and orphaned children with special needs in Rodriguez, Rizal. They turned over food donations such as cooking supplies, frozen meat, grocery items, and sacks of rice for the children with special needs.
