On August 17, 2024, teams from the Projects, Industrial, and Mayapa departments transformed two classrooms into four at Jacinto Zamora Elementary School. This initiative, driven by CBK's commitment to the United Nations SDG on Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure—which aims to foster inclusive, sustainable, affordable, and equitable access—addressed the urgent need for classroom space following a recent typhoon that devastated the Metro Manila area. Their efforts were crucial in helping the school accommodate its pupils and recover from the disaster.
CBK Hardware, Inc. made a generous cash donation to support the project, which was used to purchase essential materials such as plywood, lumber, paint, and nails. Additionally, the company donated a Westinghouse 2-Stage Water Purifier to ensure safer drinking water for the pupils. To further address the school’s needs, CBK Hardware, Inc. also provided cleaning supplies, including an Argo Rechargeable Portable Pressure Washer, a Clean Home Single-Spin Bucket Flat Mop, and floor brooms.
The assigned CBK departments played an active, hands-on role in the project, participating in every phase of the classroom partition construction. From sawing plywood and hammering nails to assembling and installing the partition system, their involvement was comprehensive and meticulous. Throughout the process, school staff guided and assisted the CBK team, ensuring that the partitions were constructed efficiently and met the school’s needs.
These collaborative efforts underscore the profound impact of coming together to support those in need, making lives better one step at a time. Through the leadership of Teacher Marie Josielle de Guzman and Principal Helen Bautista, CBK Hardware, Inc. and its teams demonstrate a steadfast commitment to building a stronger and more resilient community by supporting educational institutions and providing essential resources.
