Thus, CBK Hardware, your trusted hardware and home improvement partner, celebrated the love month by championing good health and well-being with the street children of ChildHope Philippines Foundation, Inc., located in Paco, Manila.
ChildHope Philippines Foundation, Inc., a non-profit and non-government organization accredited by the DSWD, tirelessly advocates for the rights and welfare of street children in the Philippines. Through education, social welfare interventions, primary health care, and skills development programs, they strive to provide a nurturing environment for these vulnerable children.
Recognizing the paramount importance of good health and a supportive environment for a child’s holistic development, CBK Hardware joined hands with ChildHope Philippines Foundation to align its CSR initiative with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for good health and well-being, focusing on promoting children’s health and wellness.
CBK employees from the Human Resources and Fairbanks departments generously volunteered their time and skills to organize engaging activities and interact with the children. The HR department spearheaded a small activity session focused on healthy habits and well-being, while also assisting with the medical check-ups conducted by the Klinikalye Mobile Health Clinic, an initiative by ChildHope Foundation Philippines providing medical checkups, vaccinations, and treatments for street children.
Meanwhile, the Fairbanks department orchestrated interactive and enjoyable activities for the children, fostering bonds through dance and games. Following the activities, the children were treated to a nutritious meal, enhancing their overall well-being.
In a concluding gesture, CBK donated essential medicines, hygiene kits, and products from CleanHome and Westinghouse to bolster the foundation’s efforts in promoting a healthier and happier future for all children.
