Known for being one of the pioneers in the hardware business since 1920, CBK Hardware, Inc. celebrated its 102nd year in the industry last October 4, 2022.
The celebration started with a solemn thanksgiving mass. During the mass, it was stressed out that CBK’s anniversary celebration is more than just a commemoration but also a celebration of its employees’ arduous work who grew with the company.
Enthusiastic and adept CBKians from Web and Digital, HR, Marketing, and Projects departments entertained everyone with a dance presentation as they wait for the anniversary raffle.
CBK Hardware’s Vice President of Supply Chain Management, Jan Wesley Cobankiat, gave words of thanksgiving and encouragement to all employees by highlighting that “If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you so let’s challenge ourselves always.”
On the other hand, CBK Hardware’s Executive Vice President, Jan Vincent Cobankiat, greeted all employees with an inspirational thanksgiving message -” This year is an exceptional year for all of us. As we are changing, we are growing to be a better company. Culture is important to us and to the company. We are celebrating our 102 years and we want you to feel the gift of giving by sharing joy thru a packed meal that you will give to the less fortunate. Again, Thank you!”
During the program, a glimpse of CBK Hardware’s heritage and legacy in the industry was presented in a video presentation. Reliving the past of CBK Hardware, it shows how the company expanded significantly. With its commitment to continuously provide quality brands to its customers, it builds mutually beneficial relationships with its partners in different business sectors and in its distribution network such as the retail stores and the traditional hardware stores.
It is also a celebration of change and progress as CBK Hardware, Inc. introduced its newly redesigned logo that is dynamic, timeless, adaptable and reflects CBK Hardware's brand identity. Along with these changes, the company launched its new vision and mission statements that aim to be more customer-centric and service-oriented.
As part of the 102nd -year celebration, the new face of CBK was revealed - Mang Johnny. Mang Johnny, the official icon of CBK, embodies the new company core values- Passionate, Disciplined, Honest, Kind, and Innovative, a truly reliable expert for all hardware, construction, and home improvement needs.
The program was capped with a closing remark from CBK Hardware’s Vice President for Human and Capital Management, Anna Loraine Soriaga. She said,” We are CBKians and we are CBK, we embody the values that CBK as a company upholds.”
The celebration was culminated with a CSR project - “CBK at 102: Giving back to the Community”, wherein selected 102 employees from Tambo and Binondo was each given a packed meal that has been distributed to their chosen less fortunate individual or family.
CBK Hardware’s 102nd year anniversary is another milestone as it continues to make everything better and revolutionize the way Filipino lives.
