Despite of the bad weather, CBK Hardware employees together with Haribon Foundation representatives gathered on August 11, 2018 for the Clean-up Drive in the Long Island of Las Pinas - Paranaque Critical Habitat and Eco-Tourism Area (LPPCHEA). With a 175-hectare shoreline, LLPCHEA is considered as home of native and migratory birds in Metro Manila and the first critical habitat to be declared in the country.
Driven by passion and unified effort, a total of 54.5 sacks of marine trash were collected along the Long Island shore containing different varieties of wastes such as Styrofoam, plastics, plastic & glass bottles, slippers, school bags and even big wrecked tires.
In collaboration with Haribon Foundation, Co Ban Kiat Hardware Inc., looks ahead to various valuable environmental ventures armed with the goal of preserving country’s biodiversity.
